About

me

I’m a practical person.

I personally like to break things down to their simplest components in order to understand what can, at times, seem like very complex issues.

I’m a pragmatist. I’m not interest in theories and ideals.

Like you, I live in the real world. I understand first hand that what works in theory, or in a workshop, often does not translate into what actually works in our day to day lives –  especially when things seem to be going wrong.

The way I think of what I do as a mind coach is simply a everyday, common sense approach to our mental health rather than idealistic, theoretical psychology.

Because of this, its far more effective in the real world.

My passion is about how our thoughts are created and how those thoughts navigate our lives.

I do not call myself a counsellor or a psychotherapist. I don’t even like the term therapist to describe me, despite the fact I’ve been qualified as one for many years from many different disciplines.

I certainly do not refer to myself as a life coach.

I haven’t got my own life sorted, so I’m definitely not going to attempt to tell you how to resolve yours.

If you are looking for a model citizen, a role model or a millionaire or anything in between, I’m probably not the right person to see.

If you are looking to lie on the couch for 30 minutes and on being counted 5-4-3-2-1 back into the room you want to have had a personality lobotomy, I’m also not the person to spend your hard earned money on talking to.

If you are coming to me to fix you, again, I’m not the person you need to see. I can’t fix you.

However if you are looking for someone who can help you to practically break down and evaluate your current challenges then maybe I’ll be a good fit.

If you want to work with someone who has studied the very best methods of change work and psychological interventions from lots of different fields, then again, that could be me.

If you want to work with someone who firstly field tests everything on themselves in the real world (and continues to do so – often during extreme and traumatic situations)  and only then uses the things that really work on their clients , then again I maybe a good choice.

If you want to discover whats at the centre of your underlying issue and are willing to work as hard as I will to get the results you want, then again I could be someone you would benefit from working along side.

Mind coaching works if you do. Change happens outside and after each session and it happens with you.

I’m just there to help you say – ‘Oh, i never thought of it that way’.
